Whether people come to them from your Instagram posts, Google, or Pinterest, blog posts generate a lot more traffic to your website than your services page does. And when your content is evergreen—meaning it doesn’t become dated by current events or in-the-moment topics—they bring in a lot of traffic over time.

This means that while you might only get 30, 50, or 100 views in the first couple days after a post is published, that number could jump to double or triple by the time six months pass. When you look at it that way, the hour or so you spend on a blog post seems more worth it, doesn’t it?

SEO is what makes your website appear on search engines. You need it if you hope to bring in organic traffic straight from Google.

A blog helps you accomplish a lot of things Google and other search engines consider important: lots of internal and external links, newly added content on a regular basis, keywords and key phrases that relate to your services, and so much more.
